If you’re serious about health and sustainability, organic food will be a priority for you. Fresh, organically grown whole foods have far higher levels of nutrients than produce grown with chemicals. There are many facts about the health benefits of eating organics, but personally, I’d prefer to eat the best food available to me rather than cheap, mass produced, artificially grown, hydro-frozen, gas ripened produce that’s out of season and tastes bland.
Here in Melbourne we have no excuse when it comes to organics. Not only are we surrounded by some of Australia’s best organic producers whose food looks and tastes spectacular, but we can have it all brought to our doorstep every week in a neat little box, whether we are home or not, by one of our four wonderful organic delivery services. I spend between $45 and $55 per week, and that’s plenty for the two of us.
